    The Wharton Public Library is exactly what a library should be. . .a valuable resource for children as well as adults. While not as large as some neighboring libraries, the WPL has a good collection of books, DVDs, and yes, plenty of Blu-ray disks. And a large public computer section and WiFi for those who bring their own.

    There are many activities for children and adults, including guest speakers and holiday celebrations. And did I mention the staff? They've very informed and always eager to help.

    If you're a resident, visit the library. If you're new to the area, step on inside. And if you're just passing through stop in for a friendly welcome.
